Wub Wub Wub Wednesdays! Week 1

Jason and Leavy hate dubstep and they’ve been saying that I’ve been posting too much “transformer’s sex noises” – but I still want some more WUBWUBWUB. There’s a solution to this – every Wednesday, we will be putting our favorite dub step tracks, old & new. So now everyone’s happy. If you want more than one song, click “Read More” below.

Edit: Jason is still PO’ED

New Britney Spears- Till The World Ends (Remix) (Feat. R. Kelly)

I am definitely not feeling this, but I still have respect for him.  Remixing Britney Spears is not the way to go, he needs to go back to his roots.

New Wale- Ocean Drive ft. Magazine Black Cobain and Tre of UCB

Wale just dropped this track through his twitter.  It’s more of a reggae song than rap, but Wale spits a great verse.  Great summer track.

Young Hearts – Fortune Family

Fortune family, a talent duo hailing from Philly, brings us a new song & video of “Young Hearts”. It’s chill, it’s clever, and it flows.  It reminds me a bit of OCD Moosh & Twist, but maybe that’s just me. In my opinion, this is a must download!

Dancing In the Dark (It’s The DJ Kue Remix) – Dev

I got a sex drive that’s push to start

From the same person who brought you the awesome Black & Yellow Remix last year, DJ Kue hits us up with a really well done remix of Dev’s “Dancing in the Dark”. It’s filled with some infectious synths and basslines, keeping the horns, combined with Dev’s voice for a serious club or party hit. Turn it up, enjoy!

Save The World (Knife Party Remix) – Swedish House Mafia

Although posted a little late, it’s better that you guys download this now rather than never.

Knife Party, the new club project of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen of the Australian dance band Pendulum, have delivered what could be one of the summer’s hottest dance floor anthems with their remix of Swedish House Mafia’s single “Save the World.” The song starts off as a dance pop tune, but by the second minute, the guys switch the track into overdrive with some incredibly intense beats and house music keyboards. Although the heavy parts of this song lean more towards Dubstep, you can really hear some influence from their roots of Drum and Bass. Jason Chiu, our beloved editor and one very handsome individual, was DJ-ing on turntable.fm when he found this sweet remix. In my opinion, this remix is hotter than the original, and that’s a bold statement.

Puppy Chow – JAMS

JAMS brings us “Puppy Chow” off their new sophomore project “The Sky Is My Canvas”. This specific track is a feel good, kick it & relax kind of track – the kind you blast going down the freeway with the top down. JAMS opened for Hoodie Allen with this song in Chicago and it was a huge hit. But anyways, kickback, relax, and bump to this song.
