Band Of Skulls- “The Devil Takes Care Of His Own” Official Music Video
Band Of Skulls is an English rock band consisting of Russell Marsden, Emma Richardson, & Matt Hayward. They were formed in 2004, and recorded numerous demos under the name Fleeing New York; they changed their name to Band Of Skulls in November of 2008. Band of Skulls has released 2 albums: Baby Darling Doll Face Honey and Friends EP. The Devil Takes Care of His Own is the first single for the next Band Of Skulls album, set for release in early 2012.
“The track itself is more of the stripped-to-the-core, vaguely dark blues rock that first brought the band to the Big Show. It’s the booming, anthemic chorus, though, that brings it home. It’s that very same chorus that makes this the perfect soundtrack for an old-school kung fu battle, which just so happens to break out as the band does their thing.” {consequenceofsound}
Viceroy Remix: Wiz Khalifa- “This Plane”
This is Viceroy’s remix of Wiz Khalifa’s”This Plane”. This remix is awesome and has a really good feel-good vibe; looks like I found the first song to my summer ’12 playlist.

Deadmau5 takes on Roseland Ballroom October 4th
Joel showcasing his new helmet and his first gold record (rollingstone)
Right off the bat, I’d like to apologize for being so busy these last couple of days. I’ll admit, I haven’t even been checking the site, let alone updating it. So I decided that today I should try to come through with a nice post about none other than the Canadian DJ, Joel Zimmerman. Pardon my french but who is this guy that he’s able to perform six straight nights in the hottest, most congested venue in NYC? He’s either the most passionate DJ ever, or just an incredibly smart business man. I mean, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!? He booked and sold out these six straight shows at the same crappy venue that he played at last year – Roseland Ballroom. The fact that tickets are being flipped for over twice the face value (even with six shows lined up) attests to his crazy popularity in NYC. Last night, Deadmau5 started his six show run with a set that may look like one of the better ones of 2011. He went through popular tracks like “Raise Your Weapons” Noisa Remix, “I Remember”, “Moar Ghosts N’ Stuff”, “Ghosts N’ Stuff”, “FML”, my personal favorite “Strobe”, and even the new track “Professional Griefers“. He went through many other songs and what really added to his performance was the amazing stage set up (just basing it off of the videos). The Light show looked crazy as usual, but whats new? Deadmau5′s concerts have always delivered mind blowing visual effects. I could go on forever about this show and Joel, but since I may actually end up going to one of the concerts this weekend, I will return with a possible review soon. Click “Read More” for some great footage from this concert and to download some of our favorite Deadmau5 tracks.
