DJ MAG TOP 100 2011 RESULTS
DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list is out now!!!
Following a record breaking 600,000 plus votes from almost every country on earth, the Top 100 DJs Poll 2011 powered by Trackitdown.net took place last night at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, where the big news was the announcement of the new No.1 DJ, David Guetta, who dislodged the 4-time consecutive winner, Armin van Buuren.
In conjunction with Get Real energy drink and leading dance download store Trackitdown.net, the Top 100 DJs Awards Party saw performances from David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Fedde Le Grand, Markus Schulz and more. Held during the Amsterdam Dance Event for the first time, a crowd of 3000 assorted clubbers, worldwide media and industry figures saw Guetta receive the award for world’s No.1 DJ.

Drake finished his album Take Care and he handed it in, it will be dropping on November 15th. DHH just dropped this track off of Take Care
Lil Wayne is on this one and looks like this album is definitely living up to its hype.

Avicii – ‘Fade Into Darkness’ (Albin Myers Remix)
So I was listening back to Avicii’s great set @ Studio 54 last night and when Avicii played ‘Fade Into Darkness’, I realized he dropped the Albin Myers Remix. And I immediately fell in love with it and noticed that I never got to posting this full remix 2 weeks ago. Give this track a listen, the drop is beautifully and I actually enjoyed this one more then the original.
Lupe Fiasco feat. Ellie Goulding & Bassnectar – ‘LightWork’
Today is a good day, I got new songs from two of my favorite rappers(Immortal Technique and Lupe Fiasco). I’ve been waiting for this collaboration since the Bass Island concert at Governors Island this summer, where Lupe opened for Bassnectar. I saw videos of them performing a track together and heard rumors of a possible collaboration and I’m pretty happy that it is finally out. Lupe did well rapping over this great dubstep remix of Ellie Goulding’s popular track ‘Lights’. ’LightWork’ is Lu’s first track off of Friend Of The People (Lupe’s upcoming mixtape) that will be dropping on Thanksgiving. Lupe is back.

Immortal Technique – ‘Toast To The Dead’ (prod. J Dilla)
I haven’t heard any new Immortal Technique in a minute and this is dope. ’Toast To The Dead’ is the first leak off of Technique’s upcoming free project called The Martyr. The Martyr will include features by Styles P, Joell Ortiz, Brother Ali and many more. Immortal Technique will always be one of my favorite underground rappers, I may not agree with all of his views, but I can’t deny that he has talent. One of my favorite rappers.

Odd Future Performs @ Terminal 5 in NYC on October 19th, 2011

Last night Odd Future brought the GOLF WANG TOUR to Terminal 5 in NYC. Stavros and Hummel were lucky enough to attend this show and get some shaky footage haha. Although I wasn’t able to go, I heard it was a crazy show and OF always performs with so much energy, making every performance great. You may not love their music, but these guys know how to put on a fun show. One recommendation from Stav and Stefan was rather than staying in the mosh pit (which basically was the whole floor), go to the balcony where you can of enjoy the night safely without having to deal with 16 years olds, pushing and wanting to start fights.
