Deadmau5 – Cthulhu Dreams

Deadmau5 released a new mix earlier today entitled “Cthulhu Dreams.” This probably reminds you of his track “Cthulhu Sleeps” from his album 4×4=12. This mix is definitely more sinister and dark. He posted on his Facebook,
“So, i made an angry song. cthulhu’s been sleeping for a while, so i woke him up…”

Skrillex & The Doors- “Breakin’ A Sweat (It’s Alright)”
This is amazing. This is a collaboration between Skrillex (yes, the dubstep producer), and the remaining members of The Doors (yes, the classic rock band). This unusual collaboration comes from the movie RE:GENERATION, an upcoming film that combines musicians and music producers of all different genres and generations, which debuts in 2012 around the time of the Grammy’s. Post was bumped up with the official visual for the track. Check it out after the jump and download the collaboration below.

Gym Class Heroes- ‘Ass Back Home’ (Sex Ray Vision Remix)
Sex Ray Vision took on Gym Class Heroes single’ Ass Back Home’ and added their signature touch to the hit. The synths work perfectly in this remix and make Neon Hitch’s vocals sound that much better. These guys always deliver, download the remix below.

Shwayze- ‘I Won’t Go’ (Adele Sample)
Shwayze recently dropped a collaboration project entitled W.E.E.D. that includes singer Mark Rosas. The dubstep influenced EP includes some great raps and beats, download the full project on ThisSongIsSick. One of the standout tracks for me was ‘I Won’t Go’ that featured an Adele sample. You can’t go wrong with Adele singing the chorus with a couple of chill Shwayze verses.

Schoolboy Q feat. A$AP Rocky- ‘Hands On The Wheel’
Schoolboy Q just dropped his highly anticipated sophomore album, Habits & Contradictions, a couple of days ago. I recommend copping it on iTunes immediately; Q has improved a lot since his debut and delivers a complete album here. After a few listens, I must say there isn’t one song that I don’t like and I don’t say that often. TDE is stepping it up this year, look out for Kendrick’s debut album, Good Kid in a Mad City, which is going to shake the rap game up. Now back to the track I planned on posting…ASAP Rocky’s name should be familiar to you considering how his name has been all over the web for some time now. The Harlem native dropped his first mixtape LiveLoveA$AP in December and since then he has been getting a lot of love. He hopped on a track off of Q’s sophomore album entitled ‘Hands On The Wheel’. This collaboration includes a sample of Lissie’s cover of Cudi’s ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ and dope verses from both rappers. Download the track below and make sure to buy Habits & Contradictions here.

Submission: Dada Life- ‘Happy Violence’ (Timo Juuti & Hector 87 Disco Wobblez Bootleg)

Although ‘Happy Violence’ has been remixed numerous times and it is one of those songs I’ve listened to excessively, Timo Juuti & Hector 87 made a great bootleg that makes the song sound new again. They did a great job combining house, french electro, and dubstep to create this sick remix that is a must download.

Music Video/Submission: JG Da Prophet – ‘Trapped’
Chicago native JG Da Prophet drops visuals for Trapped. A single off
his tape “It’s My Life, Vol 1” which dropped back in August. He’s been
rapping since he was 7 years old. He’s been creating a solid buzz with
his tape dropping, his Free Verse videos, and now this. He has 1200
views in less than a week with 50 likes on the video. Pay attention to
his lyricsm, with only being 19 he raps about REAL things.. Not just
about himself but the issues in the world around him. He self produced
the majority of It’s My Life Vol 1 and is currently finishing up a
tape for his friend which he entirely produced. It’s not often you
find rappers that can not only rap, but also produced quality beats.
The more you listen to his music the more you’ll realize the potential
he has, he just needs the proper exposure. Video shot by Trife Cycle
