BJ the Chicago Kid feat. Kendrick Lamar- ‘His Pain’
BJ The Chicago has quite the voice and has collaborated with Kendrick for yet another great emotional track. BJ and Kendrick’s first collab ‘Kush & Corinithians’ resided on Section 80 and was one of the standout tracks on that project. ’His Pain’ will appear on Pineapple Now-Laters, that drops on Valentine’s Day. I love the jazz sound on ‘His Pain’ and K. Dot’s raspy voice just adds to the overral feeling of the track. Listen to the song below and tell us what you think.

St. Vincent- “Cheerleader” Live on Conan
I originally heard about St. Vincent when Consequence of Sound voted “Cruel” one of the best songs of 2011. Check out this video of St. Vincent performing “Cheerleader” live on Conan, off their newest album Strange Mercy.
If you’re into indie music, I highly recommend buying that album; listening to it as we speak.

DumbFounDead is back at it and this homie’s realtalk. In case you didn’t know, He’s a Korean American battle rapper originating from the Los Angeles Underground’s Project Blowed. He is well known for his affiliation with the West Coast division of Grindtime and his participation in Jumpoff’s 2007 World Rap Championships; both of which have given rise to his status as a strong web presence. Doctor P ft. Jenna G – Neon Remixes
“Neon” was a song originally created by Doctor P. He later brought in Jenna G for a vocal mix. DJ Fresh, a friend of Doctor P (Doctor P and Flux Pavilion previously remixed DJ Fresh’s track Louder), jumped at the opportunity to remix Doctor P’s mix and gave it a more drum and bass feel. The dubstep duo Roksonix also made their own mix of the track as well. I personally believe the vocal mix is the best. Tell us which one you like the best! Skylar Grey “The Buried Sessions” (Out Now on iTunes)
Skylar Grey just dropped her new EP, The Buried Sessions of Skylar Grey. It was released just digitally and is a precursor project for her debut album Invisible. The EP includes sung versions of three previously released tracks. Track 1, ‘Love The Way You Lie Pt III’ is her original demo for Eminem & Rihanna’s hit. Track 2, ‘Coming Home Pt II’ features added vocals from the great pop singer with a different beat. Lastly, Track 3 is entitled ‘Words’ and is her take on Lupe Fiasco’s ‘Words I Never Said’. She wrote the lyrics to both ‘Coming Home’ and ‘Words I Never Said’ and on ‘Words’ Skylar once again adds more vocals to create a full track.
