Preview: Steve Angello – Yeah
Swedish House Mafia has been on a tear recently. They officially titled their ID track “Greyhound” and they also took over Pete Tong’s essential mix Friday night. In that essential mix, we heard a monster track created by Steve Angello, one of the members of Swedish House Mafia. I was also lucky to hear this track at SHM’s great performance at Madison Square Garden. “Yeah” is an Angello masterpiece and truly shows why he is considered one of the best DJs in the world. Although I don’t love that YOLO phrase, Lysick’s debut project, YOLO is definitely worth checking out. Watch the video for the title track from his free album above. The music video has over 230,000 views in less then a month, don’t sleep on the Montreal-based emcee Lysick. Reese Jones handles production on this joint and samples George Michael’s ”Careless Whisper” for the collaboration between Lysick and Krystale. Swedish House Mafia took over Pete Tong’s essential mix on this wonderful friday night. Not only did they kill it, but they also brought a mouse along. Deadmau5 came through with a sick set to make this full mix a MUST DOWNLOAD. We already heard Swedish House Mafia’s new single “Greyhound” which was premiered on this legendary mix and “Lose Your Mind (Calling Vocal Mix)” also, but what I missed was that Alesso’s new track, “Years” premiered in its entirety on this essential mix. I had made a post about Alesso performing this track back in Pacha in December when it was an ID, but not only do we have the official name to the single, we now have a radio rip.
