Music Video: Hit-Boy “Jay-Z Interview”
(via)
The producer of “N****s in Paris” made his debut into the rap game today by dropping his highly anticipated single “Jay-Z Interview”. Hit-Boy is also known for producing Pusha-T’s “My God”, A$AP Rocky’s “Goldie”, Lil Wayne’s & Eminem’s “Drop The World” and many more popular tracks. He has been in the lab with artists like Rihanna to Kelly Rowland to Jay-Z. The California native has shown that he is here to stay as a producer. His introduction into the rap game proved that he can spit and definitely left me wanting more. He isn’t one of the best new rappers, but he has talent. Kanye isn’t one of the best rappers, but he is by far one of my favorite artists. I’m not making that comparison yet because I believe Hit-Boy can make his own lane through his versatile production and raps. Although we only have one track, I’ve heard nothing but good things about Hit-Boy Hollis in the booth. Pharrell has complimented his bars and recently was in the studio with Hit-Boy. ”Jay-Z Interview” serves as a good start to an artist that you will hear a lot about in the upcoming years. There is always room for improvement and I’m sure G.O.O.D. Music’s recent signee will evolve as an artist in the future. Even if he sticks to producing, Hit-Boy will still be a name that you want to keep an eye out on. If rap music may not be your favorite genre, at least check out the music video as an outlet for inspiration. Hit-Boy tweeted today “Appreciate anyone who takes the time out to watch #JayZInterview , really just wanted to share some personal moments with you all.” Now what are you waiting for? Hit the jump to view the visual and no it’s not an interview if you haven’t realized already.
Wolfgang Gartner ft. Clinton Sparks – Redline (You Got Me Started Again)
This track has become a regular on XM radio channel’s “BPM” and I can see why. This track is from Clinton Sparks’ mixtape “My Awesome Mixtape 3″, which is set to be released shortly. Check out the track below.
D-WHY – “Killa” (Official Music Video)
D-WHY lets loose the official visual for his single “Killa”. Jakob Owens shot/edited the video and Jennifer Martinez is starring in the video. D-WHY raps over Cam’ron’s “What Means the World to You” Roxanne sampled beat and kills it. He provides another great tune that I’ll definitely have on repeat throughout the summer.
