We are heading towards the release of Chris Brown’s upcoming album Fortune which is set to drop on July 3rd. This was actually a leaked track from about 2 years ago but Chris Brown decided to release the full version of this track. This will not appear on Fortune.

Linkin Park- “Lost In The Echo”
Linkin Park’s new album sprung a leak a couple of days back and has been on replay on my iTunes. One of the standout tracks is the opener entitled “Lost In The Echo”. I haven’t decided what my favorites off the recent album are yet, but I’m just going to say it has a lot of different sounds on it and definitely reminded me of LP’s first two albums. Although some tracks may sound generic, they still are very enjoyable. Simple is not always bad. The synths on “Lost In The Echo” open up the track and lead into an album that may be one of my favorites of the summer. Download/stream the track below and be sure to cop LP’s latest on June 26th!
Usher- “Europhia” (Prod. By Swedish House Mafia)
Usher released his seventh studio album Looking 4 Myself on June 8th and it did not sell as well as I expected although I thouroghly enjoyed the project. Usher has achieved it all by releasing six successful album, selling millions, winning Grammys and helping curate Justin Beieber’s career. Usher incorporates electronic dance music into his tracks on his latest album while still making it sound organic and not forced unlike a lot of current mainstream popular tracks. We posted the preview about the SHM produced track here, but now we’ve had it for some time and I’ve been able to give it some solid listens. On “Europhia” Usher got Steve Angello, Sebstian Ingrosso, and Axel Hedfors (Axwell) aka Swedish House Mafia to handle production. The dance track consists of great vocals, sick drops and that big room sound that you’d expect from the Swedish producers. Download/stream “Europhia” and buy Usher’s recent album on iTunes here. “Down To Earth” serves as the first single off of Blu’s newly announced project, Good To B Home that will be released in December. Along with Good To B Home, Blu will also release his collaborative effort with Exile entitled Give Me My Flowers While I Can Smell Them on September 4th. Hezekiah handles production on this joint.

This year’s Summer Jam is particularly memorable because of Lil Wayne’s decision to pull Nicki Minaj from performing at Summer Jam 2012. Peter Rosenberg was supposedly “disrespecting” a female there for as an executive Wayne made a call to cancel last minute. Rosenberg passed a few comments about “Starships” but he was right that song is so tacky.
