deadmau5 ft. Chris James – The Veldt (Official Music Video)
Mr. Zimmerman released this video yesterday for his newly released EP “The Veldt EP.” An interesting part of the video is the very end when Zimmerman gives respect to the late Ray Bradbury, who passed away earlier this month. I’m assuming that Zimmerman named this track “The Veldt” after Bradbury’s short story with the same title. The lyrics in the track along with what happens in the video match the story that Bradbury tells in “The Veldt.” Best known for writing Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury was one of the most influential American writers of the 20th century. It is definitely nice to see deadmau5 pay homage to an important figure in American writing. RIP Ray Bradbury.
Lupe Fiasco “B*tch Bad”
Lupe just released his second single off of Food & Liquor II: TGARA and both the beat and hook are on point. Flow isn’t really recognizable, but still turns out to be solid. He delivers lyrically, like always. Production is handled by The Audibles. Give this track a couple listens before judging it. Cop it on iTunes here. Album releases 9/25/12.
