Chief Keef (aka Big Gucci Sosa) is at it again with another great hood-rat banger. While studying for finals, I can’t help but sing “I got a sack now” as loud as I can in the school library. Though I’m getting weird looks, I gotta hand it to Chief Keef for making another catchy song that gets me hyped, even at the worst of times. This kid has already had his music used in a Kanye West remix (Don’t Like), and he is only 17 years old. Gotta hand it to him. Bang Bang.
Fat Joe – “Pride N Joy” (ft. Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, Mos Def, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash and Busta Rhymes)
Recently Pride N Joy came out on Youtube yesterday. Though this song is not necessarily new, the song is worth to put up in case some people missed it. Fat Joe puts together some of the heavyweights of the game to this day to give a great track that is one of my favorite songs. Though the music video is a little dull, it rekindled my love that i once forgot I had for this song. Check this song out when doing homework and prepare to be set in a relaxed mood, trust me on that. You can buy the song on Itunes here.
Tyler, The Creator And Domo Genesis – Sam Is Dead
Tyler, The Creator along with Domo Genesis released this music video for their song Sam (is dead) from their album OF Vol. 2 a few days back and it caught my eye. The name “Sam” stands for “subliminally another me”, The song is about Tyler maturing, as he kills off his other selfs, such as his childish side and Tron cat. He also admits in this song that he still has the same problems from when he wasn’t famous. The line “Still suicidal, but some assume that I’m cool now, Cause I got a fuckin’ award in my own room now.” really shows that, which is why this song is one of my favorites off the CD. This song has a great beat, great lyrics, and the music video is captivating. I didnt expect anything less from Tyler.

Mac Miller just let go this self produced gem through his twitter. Another chill song to add to your summer playlist. Mac’s upcoming collaboration EP featuring Pharrell entitled, Pink Slime, is coming out soon. Enjoy!
Dear Lord – Tayyib Ali
Tayyib Ali, one of Philly’s favorite sons, has released a brand new track to his eager fans. Tayyib’s track features him rapping about hard times through Philly and his struggle to get by. Tayyib’s emotional flow that is catching the attention of people everywhere definitely deserves a listen. Tayyib is steadily blowing up, recently opening for Wiz Khalifa, and having over 500,000 views on his hit “Keystone State of Mind” I, for one, cannot wait to see where this kid goes.
