Keane – Sovereign Light Cafe (Afrojack Remix)

http://geo-media.beatport.com/image_size/500x500/6440999.jpg?standalone=1

First and foremost, Merry Christmas Eve everyone! It has been a great year for us and we really appreciate you guys checking in everyday. It is an honor and privilege to be working on this site and we are forever grateful. Music is one of the few unifying forces in our chaotic world today and hopefully, we’ve been able to provide some good music for all of you. With that said, Dutch powerhouse Afrojack has brought us a great gift in this amazing track that is a must listen. This remix of Keane’s “Sovereign Light Cafe” is so well done that it might be one of my favorite tracks of this year. Although this is not the typical Afrojack style, this remix is an uplifting track that uses Keane’s lyrics perfectly. This is the kind of work we expect out of him and Afrojack has certainly delivered just in time for Christmas. Check the track below, buy it on Beatport, and have a happy holidays everyone!

Kaskade and Swanky Tunes ft. Lights – No One Knows Who We Are

With a combination of different styles, Kaskade, Swanky Tunes and Lights bring us this collaboration, blending various elements from their unique styles into this track. However, I did not think this combo worked well as it should have and I certainly expected more out of artists of this caliber. Let us know what you think. Check out the track below and buy it on Beatport.

Arty – When I See You (Alesso Mix)

In 2012, we have witnessed the rise of two dynamic producers Arty and Alesso. As the young faces of progressive house, the two young Europeans continue to impress with “When I See You.” Hopefully, we will hear more from both of them in the near future. However, this is certainly a great way to cap off the year for two producers who have been nothing short of remarkable in 2012. Check out the track below and buy it on Beatport.

Release: R3hab & ZROQ – Skydrop

Dutch producer R3hab has returned to Tiësto’s label Musical Freedom. This time, R3hab teamed up with the up and coming ZROQ (debut on Musical Freedom) to create this massive track. Like R3hab’s other tracks, “Skydrop” is a heavy track but also ventures in other directions that R3hab does not normally turn to. However, it might just be his most inventive track to date and it is a must listen. The two Dutchmen do a great job on this track. Check it out below and buy it on Beatport.

Release: EDX – 2 Hearts 1 Mind (Denzal Park & Inpetto Remixes)

Just saw this on Beat My Day and I thought it was necessary to post this. EDX has had a great year and his track “2 Hearts 1 Mind” now has two great remixes. The first one is by Denzal Park, who gives us a nice melodic, uplifting remix. The second is by Inpetto, who I know for “No More Serious Faces.” Inpetto’s remix is much heavier and is still worth a listen. Check out both tracks below and buy them on Beatport!

Release: Alesso – Clash

Alesso first previewed “Clash” for the world back in May of this year. This release has been long awaited since Alesso released “Years” earlier this year. As mentioned in previous posts, this track is not a typical synth driven Alesso track. Alesso shows his versatility through a high energy, chord driven track that will add to his already impressive repertoire. Check out the track below and buy it on Beatport!

Preview: Miike Snow – Bavarian #1 (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman Remix)

Coming off their highly touted release of “Pieces of Light”, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman are back to preview their final release of this successful year. This time, the duo remixed the Swedish pop indie band, Miike Snow. The remix is very impressive and the duo utilizes the vocals from the original song very well. In normal Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman fashion, they also used a solid drop with a compelling melody to further cement their rise in the industry. Check out the preview of the remix below and stay tuned for the release on December 17th!

Jay Z – Where I’m From (Barclays Center Documentary)

http://assets.rollingstone.com/assets/images/embedded/1000x600/jay-z-600-1348932508.jpg

Let me start this post by wishing Jay Z a happy 43rd birthday. What a career Hov has had. Carter’s resume is broad and impressive. He went from rags to riches, earned 13 platinum albums (including Collision Course and Watch the Throne), married Beyonce, owns part of a basketball team, and helped build the beautiful Barclays Center. This Barclays Center documentary was released in honor of his 43rd birthday and is provided below. Check it out and happy birthday again to one of the greats.

Release: U2 vs. Tiësto – Pride (In The Name of Love)

http://weallhitplay.com/http://http://localhost/we-all-play//2012/11/DanceREDSaveLives_AlbumCover-300x300.jpg

Tiësto has been working on a compilation project called “DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES” as he has partnered with the non-profit organization (RED) to help fight AIDS. “Pride (In The Name of Love)” is a 1984 U2 classic that most would not tamper with. However, Tiësto took on the challenge and I believe that he did a great job incorporating the lyrics in “Pride (In The Name of Love)” into a fitting and catchy melody. Tiësto is able to give fans a must listen track to help promote the elimination of HIV. Check out the track below and buy the compilation album on iTunes! For more information about (RED) and the cause, check out the Sound Cloud link below.

Special thanks to Beat My Day for the find. Great track for a great cause.

Preview: Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman ft. Jonny Rose – Pieces Of Light – The Remixes

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8729/piecesoflighttheremixes.jpg

If you haven’t already heard the original mix of “Pieces of Light” by Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, I would highly recommend you check it out. If you are familiar with the track, I bring you a gift of three remixes created by three talented and upcoming producers. The first remix is by SICK INDIVIDUALS who have an upcoming EP on Steve Angello’s famous Size Records. The second is by Denzal Park who has upcoming tracks on Flamingo Records (started by Fedde Le Grand, Raf Jansen, and Funkerman). The last remix is by Henrix who just recently signed one of his tracks to Size Records. All three remixes are worthy of a listen and should be great when they are released. Check out the preview video below and stay tuned for the Beatport release on December 17th and the iTunes and Spotify releases on January 7th.

Special thanks to Dimitri Vangelis for everything!
