Kasum has been on a hot streak in the last few months. Don’t get me wrong, ever since the up-and-coming producer/DJ unleashed his melodic dubstep remix of Smash Mouth’s “All Star” back in July, he’s been a name to watch out for in the electronic scene. But once the sophomore at BU won the spot to open for 3LAU & Carnage through his “Night Riot” mix, Kasum has been watching his dreams come true slowly but surely. Though early to say, I truly believe Kasum has quite the future ahead of him. Every remix he has dropped in the last year has been nothing short of greatness. His dubstep take on these classic throwback tunes both revive the popular tracks and add totally new layers to them. Kasum will be opening for 3LAU and Carnage on November 21st at the House of Blues in Boston. Kasum won the opening spot by getting the most votes with his 30 minute Night Riot mix. His addition on the bill for the 3LAU/Carnage concert is a very good look for the Boston University student. It doesn’t come as a surprise that he won the contest since Kasum has been the most consistent up and comer in the game for a minute. All of Kasum’s latest remixes have been very impressive. The talented producer has dropped all of his remixes for free thus building a solid fan base. Expect to hear a lot more Kasum in the near future and be sure to purchase tickets to 3LAU and Carnage’s upcoming show at the House of Blues in Boston here. Like Kasum on Facebook.
