Fall Out Boy – Thanks For The Memories (Kasum Remix)

Kasum has been on a hot streak in the last few months. Don’t get me wrong, ever since the up-and-coming producer/DJ unleashed his melodic dubstep remix of Smash Mouth’s “All Star” back in July, he’s been a name to watch out for in the electronic scene. But once the sophomore at BU won the spot to open for 3LAU & Carnage through his “Night Riot” mix, Kasum has been watching his dreams come true slowly but surely.  Though early to say, I truly believe Kasum has quite the future ahead of him.  Every remix he has dropped in the last year has been nothing short of greatness.  His dubstep take on these classic throwback tunes both revive the popular tracks and add totally new layers to them. Hit the jump to read on and view footage from Kasum’s set at the House of Blues in Boston.

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars (Gazzo Remix)

Gazzo sways away from his progressive house sound on his remix of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars.” Gazzo turns the mellow Snow Patrol classic into a big room house festival tune.  Listen to Gazzo progressive house remix of Coldplay’s “Atlas” here and stream/download his take on Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” above.

The Colourist – Fix This (The Chainsmokers Remix)

The Chainsmokers took on The Colourist’s “Fix This” and turned it into an electro house banger.  Read what the talented NYC producers had to say about their take on “Fix This” below.

The Colourist have really unique playful vocal melodies which is what attracted to us to them the most,  and we like to consider one of our bigger production strengths to be our melody work as well, so we were excited to pair the two against each other. Thus, in the production it was great to create a composition for this track that ping pong’d between their vocals and our production as we add and subtract instruments to increase the energy and emotion into a joyous wave of synths for the drop that keeps that has our signature style 🙂
AND it was nice to get back to some real indie progressive house with this track….

DJ Snake – Bird Machine (feat. Alesia) [Jingle Bells Version]

DJ Snake unleashed a Jingle Bells Version of his popular trap mix “Bird Machine.” The new version features the same buildup, but then an edited drop that uses the Jingle Bells melody.  DJ Snake’s new edit to “Bird Machine” is my xmas anthem. Shout out to Matthew Zelak on the find. DJ Snake’s new edit resides on Mad Decents latest compilation album A Very Decent Christmas.  After the jump I included the full stream to the album.

Drake “Come Thru” ~ James Blake Remix

No one can touch James Blake. Following his recent song/music video collaboration with Chance The Rapper, James Blake takes another step into American popular music with this killer remix of Drake’s “Come Thru” off NWTS. Blake adds an incredible synthy trap drop to the track, proving to us once again that his talent is endless. If this doesn’t get you hype for more James Blake… well then I just don’t know what to tell you.
