Singer, actress, and high school student, Amelia Scaramucci covered the ever so popular radio hit “Don’t You Worry Child.” Amelia sings the chorus and short verse over a laid back piano and guitar instrumental thus highlighting her vocal range. Her remake of the the platinum single is refreshing and most definitely a good effort. Overall, her vocals are very impressive. Amelia used her canon camera to capture the visual and recorded the song with a Yeti mic in garageband. She then put together the video simply through iMovie proving that you don’t need a professional application to showcase your talent. It was the first time she had done something like this so it is not perfect. Hopefully this is the first of many song releases from the talented young artist.
Mike Posner covers Ed Sheeran’s popular single “The A Team” for his latest release. Posner changes up the production with a simple piano arrangement, a backing drum beat, and a vocal sample. Jayson DeZuzio also plays the guitar to add another level to the production. In the remix, Mike Posner sings the chorus and actually delivers some solid verses as well over the uplifting beat. Stream and download the remix below.

Justin Timberlake made his return to the music scene recently through the release of Jay-Z assisted single “Suit & Tie.” JT is already back with an official visual for the radio-friendly track. Instead of releasing a normal music video, Justin dropped a lyric video with creative visuals to capture the fresh vibe of “Suit & Tie.” This track has definitely been growing on me. Look out for Justin Timberlake’s upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience, due out March 19th. Watch the official lyric video below.
Joe Budden linked up with Fabolous, Twista and Tank for the official remix to his lead single “She Don’t Put It Down.” The production remains the same, but each feature delivers a new verse. Fab flowed smoothly over the T-Minus production and then Twista comes in with a quick delivery as expected. Stream the remix below. Respect to DJ Enuff for the premiere.

Mike Posner took on The Lumineers hit, “Ho Hey” and turned it into a full on pop track. The addition of his signature voice along with the keyboard instrumental, looped vocals and synth drop at the chorus makes up for a solid offering from Posner. Stream/download the remake below.

One month ago yesterday, twenty-seven people were killed in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut. Regardless of our closeness to the victims, or our distance from them, the deaths of children affect everyone who hears about them. One of the reasons I love music the most is because of the way it reacts to the world around it.
I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed and I found this video. Underground RnB singer Devvon Terrell recorded a cover of Swedish House Mafia’s anthem “Don’t You Worry Child” as a tribute to the twenty children murdered. He begins with a downtempo, vocoder-piano cover of John Martin’s vocals, before exploding into the progressive synths that made the original famous. Footage of smiling children undercuts shots of Devvon playing the piano. Please check out the video above.
Justin Timberlake is back from his six year hiatus from the music scene with a new track featuring Jay-Z. The Timbaland produced joint can be streamed in its entirety below and purchased on iTunes.

Pop sensation (too soon?), Willow Smith, took to her soundcloud a new track that samples Radiohead’s “Codex.” The 12 year old showcased her vocals over a unique instrumental. What do you guys think?
