Dirty Projectors – “Swing Lo Magellan”
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I was at a wedding. This song isn’t spectacularly new, but since I’m pretty sure I’m the only author on the site who listens to music this indie, I’m putting it up here anyway. My uncle is a huge fan of Dirty Projectors, and while I wasn’t a huge fan of their earlier projects, their new album Swing Lo Magellan (2012) really threw me for a loop. I’m a big fan of the more focus sound, and the title track’s laid back indie groove really shows off a new direction for the band. I gotta give the album a few more listens, but right now it’s definitely my favorite track.
