Muse- “Unsustainable”

The talented English rock band let go a new experimental single last week in the form of an interesting music video.  The dubstep influenced single features minimal vocals by lead singer, Matthew Bellamy, few guitar riffs and some backing drums, but features an audible symphony that makes this song almost sound like an intro to an album.  The wobbles are a little repetitive, but may make up for a crazy live show.  I feel like this track could grow on me when I listen to the bands new album, The 2nd Law, in its entirety, but for now it is not that impressive.

Do I think this is good dubstpep? No, not really, but I can’t complain that much when a band experiments to this extent.  I’m sure we will be hearing a lot of different sounds on Muse’s upcoming album.  Listen to the single below.
