Okay, this song’s old, I know. Its actually older than the site is… BUT this song had to be posted. I heard this on Alt-Nation the other day, downloaded it right when I got home, and had it on repeat ever since. There’s something so haunting about this song, maybe its the deep bass line, the unorthodox selection of instruments, or De Backer’s breathy whisper style of singing. The song also features female vocals from Australian singer Kimbra, which actually fits the context of the song; its a break up song. And the best break up song I’ve ever heard at that.
For any fan of indie music, you must listen to this song. There’s something so unique about it, and its so damn catchy. This is song is my Christmas gift to all of you.
MGK, who is the “Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011″ according to MTV, just dropped a new track that features Ester Dean on the chorus. If ‘Invincible’ sounds familiar to you, it may be because it resides in the HTC beats commercial. Machine Gun Kelly has been winning me over recently, Bad Boy Records son. Lace up!!
