Alesso first previewed “Clash” for the world back in May of this year. This release has been long awaited since Alesso released “Years” earlier this year. As mentioned in previous posts, this track is not a typical synth driven Alesso track. Alesso shows his versatility through a high energy, chord driven track that will add to his already impressive repertoire. Check out the track below and buy it on Beatport!
Young Swedish EDM star, Alesso, released the official music video for his new track “Years.” The music video shows Alesso’s journey from a young piano player to a famous producer and DJ. The video also pays tribute to Alesso’s close friend Riccardo Campogiani, who passed away in 2007, the day before his 17th birthday. Campogiani was assaulted in the streets of Stockholm by 5 teenagers of about the same age. Check out the video below and thanks to Beat My Day for the details!
Sharkf3ng is back at it again this time with his first mashup. Sharkf3ng usually sticks to original productions and remixes, but this time he made a mashup of “Eyes” by Kaskade, “Years” by Alesso Ft. Matthew Kona, “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson and lastly “Anything Can Happen” by Ellie Goulding. This is a very impressive mashup starting with the instrumental of “Eyes” and you can hear a beat created by cue point jumping from “Anything Can Happen” until he unleashes Ellie Goulding’s vocals on the track. During the drop of “Eyes” Sharkf3ng uses Kelly Clarksons vocal from “Stronger” which fits very nicely. Shortly thereafter Sharkf3ng transitions into a slightly different “Years”. It’s put in a lower key, but still sounds okay. Overall this is a very impressive first mashup. Like Sharkf3ng on Facebook and follow on twitter to stay up to date with his projects.
Alesso has been teasing “Years” since December 30th and today he officially released the massive new mix through Beatport. I posted about the tracks debut at Pacha to its premier on BBC Radio 1 to the official preview and today we can enjoy what I think is the new summer anthem in its entirety. Alesso has established himself as a prominent figure in the EDM industry and this new track just reassures that position. Along with his recent eclectic release, Alesso is coming off of a good summer. I don’t love Matthew Koma’s vocals on this one, but Alesso’s melodic and uplifting synths make this track memorable. Listen to it below and be sure to purchase it on Beatport.
Alesso is once again stepping out on his own with solo production ‘Years’, a track that is undoubtedly going to prove ubiquitous over the coming months. After being premiered on Swedish House Mafia’s takeover of Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show earlier this year the instrumental version of ‘Years’ immediately had EDM fans excited, and now Alesso is set to release the highly anticipated vocal version of the track featuring Matthew Koma on 4th August. Energized by the optimistic swoon of Koma’s lyrics, Alesso’s production shines as the shimmering piano melodies explode in a flurry of driving drums and uplifting, anthemic synths that are destined to soundtrack the summer and ignite festivals all over the world.
Zedd always goes hard in his tracks but this one is truly special. With his first album coming out soon on Interscope Records, Zedd has stepped up his game with this track. Matthew Koma is the voice for “Years” by Alesso and with his voice combined with Zedd’s production, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the album has to offer. Remember the date: June 4th.
We posted a preview about this track a while back and the released version has finally arrived. This track is typical Alesso and is definitely a must listen. Alongside the release of “Clash” and “Years”, Alesso has gotten off to a good start so far this 2012. Keep looking out for the young Swede as he ascends the DJ rankings into EDM stardom. Check out the track below and buy it on Beatport.
This is one of the most highly anticipated tracks in the EDM scene today. Swedish House Mafia recently played it on Pete Tong’s essential mix and we have the radio rip for you guys. This mix is incredible and it is a must listen. We will continue to update you guys on the status of “Years.” Enjoy!
