At The Drive-In Reunite

by MooseRate

I’ll get to the point-At The Drive-In are one of the most important modern alternative, or even plain rock bands of the last ten to fifteen years. They almost single-handedly rewrote the book on emo/post-hardcore and NO band has matched their formula yet. Not even close.

If you’re familiar with post-hardcore band, Sparta, or, more likely, neo-progressive outfi, The Mars Volta, both spawned by ATDI’s 2001 break-up, then you’ve felt a little bit of ATDI’s genius. Despite this, nothing comes close to the raw emotion and relentless energy At The Drive-In delivered throughout their career. And now, our generation has the opportunity to experience it first hand.

Earlier today, the band announced, via twitter, they will be playing music together in some form or another. https://twitter.com/#!/AtTheDriveIn_/status/156440488881307648

As of now, ATDI are scheduled to play this year’s Coachella festival. Until then, or until they announce a tour, watch this to hold you over, and cop their catalogue.

Yeah, this is coming back.
