Clinton Sparks – “Boston Bass”

Clinton Sparks is killin’ it right now. He just released a new music video entitled “Boston Bass” in anticipation of his forthcoming My Awesome Mixtape 4. The project will have features from 2 Chainz, Mike Stud, Ludacris, Bun B, Snoop Dogg, and many more. “Boston Bass” is an awesome take on Dropkick Murphy’s “Shipping Up To Boston.” The remake features a thumping electro build up after the “Shipping Up To Boston” sample and a massive bass heavy drop. The infectious synths, dark 808′s, and rolling snares make this one a must listen for any partier. Listen to “Boston Bass” while pregaming for the St Patty’s Day Parade. Watch Clinton Sparks’ self directed visual to “Boston Bass” below and stream/download the track after the jump.
Pretty Lights – The Day Is Gone (NYE Recap Video)

What better way to release new music than in the form of a New Years Eve concert recap video. Pretty Lights did just that with the release of his new song, “The Day Is Gone.” The video below captures parts of Pretty Lights’ sold out New Years Eve concert at Roseland Ballroom in NYC. Pretty Lights starts the single off with some piano chords into an old school sounding vocal sample. Derek then adds some percussion, wobbles, guitar sounding chords, and a bass heavy dubstep drop that correlates with the visuals. Listen to Pretty Lights new single, “The Day Is Gone,” below.
Wub Wub Wub Wednesday Is Back

Back in the day, YGM would bring you the filthiest beats on [almost] every Wednesday in a playlist that ranged from dubstep to drum & bass and electro. While checking dance music submissions today, I found myself hearing a ton of wobbles and bass heavy drops. It reminded me of Wub Wub Wub Wednesday and led me to write this and compile my favorite dubstep influenced tracks from the past few weeks. First I have The M Machine’s newest track “The Palace” featuring Blake Hazard. “The Palace” starts off slow, but don’t be fooled, after a minute and a half the song picks up and Blake’s vocals build up into a bass heavy dubstep drop. Next up I have a track from up-and-coming producer, Unlike Pluto. Pluto was originally featured on this site with his electro-house remix of Mumford & Sons single “I Will Wait.” His new free release, “Suicide Monster” starts off with a glitch house sound and synthy bassline and then builds into a “dubelectro” drop that keeps the catchy bassline. A preview of Knife Party’s new single hit the web and it sounds like a powerful single. “Power Glove” stays true to Knife Party’s dubstep sound with great build ups, a solid vocal sample and massive drops. Mikael Weermets & Danny Avila took on Skylar Grey’s latest single featuring Eminem to create a trapstep remix. Although this remix sways from our usual dubstep offerings, it definitely is worth a listen. It makes the song bearable for me. Lastly, I included a throwback chill dubstep remix by 4centers of The Beatles track “Eleanor Rigby.” Wub Wub Wub to this playlist below. The audio is continuous.

Stream: Flux Pavilion “Blow The Roof” (EP)
Flux still can’t stop. The UK dubstep producer has finally delivered his highly anticipated EP Blow The Roof and it exceeds my expectations. The project is compiled of eight eclectic tracks with features from Sway & P and Childish Gambino. Each track is unique and massive is in its own way and that is especially hard to believe in a genre that is defined by Wub Wub Wub and is over saturated with bass-heavy drops that sometimes sound alike. I’ll let the music speak for itself here, stream the whole project and be sure to purchase the EP in its entirety below. Enjoy and Blow The Roof Off when listening to this! Listen to the project after the jump.
Flux Pavilion – “I Feel It”

We only have to wait a couple more days to hear Flux Pavilion’s new EP in its entirety. The past releases we have received from this project have been insane, so you can say my expectations going into “I Feel It” were pretty high. The dubstep producer did not disappoint and actually surprised me on his new release. “I Feel It” strays away from Flux’s usual bass-heavy drops and leans towards a more old school and glitchy sound. Though wobbles are evident in Flux’s latest production, the English producer builds the track around a catchy synth that is backed by a powerful drum-line. “I Feel It” is an infectious and melodic tune that is a must listen. Blow The Roof may just be one of the biggest releases of the year. Flux definitely has a good grasp of the EDM scene in 2013. Look out for Blow The Roof EP on January 28th and stream “I Feel It” below.

Underworld – “Rez” (Bassnectar Remix)
Bassnectar remixed one of dance musics pioneers, Underworld, and did a hell of a job. He took their track “Rez” and added fitting wobbles and synths to highlight the ever so good melody. The bass-heavy track is a must listen! Bassnectar’s remix of “Rez” will be out on February 12th.
