Video: Topaz Jones – “Coping Mechanism”

20 year old rapper, Topaz Jones, drops the official visual to coincide with his new single “Coping Mechanism.”  He praises rap as a tool to deal with daily life struggles. The young rapper starts off the track by spitting

“Jotting down rhymes in my notepad

Mechanism to cope with a system that’s hopeless”

Thus portraying the harsh world that we live in today.  His unique flow compliments his original production on “Coping Mechanism.”

The official music video is directed by Topaz Jones and co-directed by Simon Davis & Jason Sondock.  The visual shows Topaz Jones among a violent tribe symbolizing strife in modern society.  “Coping Mechanism” acts as Topaz Jones’s first single off of his forthcoming project, The Honeymoon Suite, due out in early 2014.  Watch the video above and be sure to like Topaz Jones on facebook.  Shout out to Keshav from Shav and Mentos for the submission.

Childish Gambino is back in the rap game with “Yaphet Kotto,” a new single that reside on Gambino’s forthcoming album Because The Internet. Childish Gambino has recently announced that the project is complete and due out in winter.  Watch the 1:30 visual of “Yaphet Kotto” above.  Not sure if the visual is just a preview or the full track, either way enjoy the new Gambino verse.
