I am going to go ahead and say this new Avicii track is a big disappointment.  The vocals aren’t anything special, the melody is alright and the whistle is brutal to listen to over the instrumental.  Avicii had an amazing year in 2011, but hasn’t proved himself in 2012.  He’s been busy touring year round, but that shouldn’t change the quality of his new releases.  In 2012, Bergling did release the highly anticipated “Sillhouettes“, but even that mix was originally previewed back in ’11.  Same with his Eric Turner collaboration “Dancing In My Head“, I remember hearing that one back in his NYE set.  Avicii has yet to impress with his new music.  But hey, maybe somebody out there will enjoy this simple melody and the offbeat whistle.  Listen to the vocal mix to “Last Dance” below.
