In April 2011, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy made the decision to end the wildly popular and highly praised rock band at the peak of their career. He made sure they went out with a bang; an instantly sold out show at Madison Square Garden. SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS documents the farewell show at MSG, and is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. The film is expected to premiere at Sundance Film Festival on January 22nd.
