I’ve been looking for new music and releases from the last couple of days and haven’t found much, but that makes sense considering it is weekend.  Every artist decides to drop their new single on Monday or even Tuesday just so I can post ten things at once.  I can’t complain though, later this week we are about to get one of the best mixtapes of the year.  I haven’t heard much about it other than two simple previews, but knowing Sean, he wouldn’t be hyping up the project this much if he didn’t truly believe the material was great.  When Big Sean was recently asked about his debut album, he said “I ain’t really like it that much” (HipHopWired), meanwhile that album was my summer jam.  It was on repeat and I thought it really showed his talent.  If Big Sean’s new mixtape is anything like the album or better than we are in for a treat. Detroit is due out on September 5th.  Sean let go two short previews from the mixtape that you can listen to below.  “24 Karats Of Gold” will feature J. Cole.
