Raised in the projects of Roxbury, Jeffrey Fortunato, also known as Moufy, is the artist to watch coming out of Boston. Moufy’s ability to bridge the gap between urban and suburban America sets him apart from other artists. From modest beginnings, Moufy was born to a teenaged mother from the Dominican Republic and a father who drifted in and out of his life. His vast experiences growing up in Roxbury and going to private high schools have prepared him to make universally appealing music.

How did we come across his music? Well, the kid already possesses the most downloaded mixtape ever by an unsigned artist from the city of Boston – he’s destined to blow up. By word of mouth, I learned about this talented youngin’ through my college friend all the way down in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s spreading fast, so if you haven’t checked out his music already, do it now.
